I was walking to Greenbelt Lake when I heard a cat yowling in alarm, then saw two blurs of red and black running across someone’s lawn. When I reached the northern entrance, this mischievous fox walked across the path. I followed the sound of it walking through crunchy fallen leaves. Once it ran up the riverbank to safety, the fox settled into the ivy to watch me and other passers-by until it fell asleep, beautifully camouflaged in the underbrush.
